Eleventh Assignment

Things change in life. We all know that. We can be friends with people one year and the next year we don't like them any more.

Tonight, write about a time when your opinion about someone changed. Why did it change? What did you do about it? How did you feel? What did the other person do?

Tenth Assignment

As you know, Iago is an expert liar. For today's assignment, tell about a time when you lied to someone or someone lied to you. What were the consequences? How did you feel? Did you lose that person's trust or did they lose your trust?

Ninth Assignment

Write about a time when your parents or a friend got the wrong impression of you. Be sure to include how you felt.

Eighth Assignment

For Friday Sept. 17th

Write a cinquain about today's scene from Iago's point-of-view. In other words, pretend you are Iago and write in his voice.

A cinquain is a little poem with five lines. The first line has two syllables, the second has 4, the third has 6, the fourth line has 8 syllables, and the last line has two syllables.

Seventh Assignment

For Wednesday Sept. 16th

Write a paragraph about a time you drank too much alcohol and did something dumb. If you've never done this, then write about seeing someone else do it.

Go to the other four blogs, check out their comments about how Iago feels about women, and make a comment about what they said.

Fifth Assignment

For Monday Sept. 14th

Today we found out how Iago really feels about women.

Take one of his statements, type it on your blog, and comment about what it says.

Fourth Assignment

Post a picture and name of an actress and actor who you think would be perfect to play the parts of Othello and Desdemona. Also, give a reason why you picked them.

To post a picture, first go to google images and save the ones you get of your actress and actor to My Pictures.

Then go to your blog and click the little sky and mountain icon. It's the third from the right. Click "Browse" and go to My Pictures to find the images you saved.

IMPORTANT! I'll be checking your blogs Sunday night Sept. 13th around 8 pm and you should have 4 posts. This will count as an essay grade so it's important that you have them completed by then. No second chances!

Third Assignment

Tonight's assignment is to write a simile about Love. What is it? Love is like_____________.

Remember, a simile is a comparison of two unlike things that somehow makes sense.

Simile: Love is like a bubble bursting in your chest.
Not a simile: Love is like caring for your dog.

I'll create a list of everyone's blogs so you'll be able to check other people's blogs and even get to your own.

FIRST ASSIGNMENT
Set up your blog:

• Go to http://www.blogger.com/ and follow the steps.
  
  
• Once your blog is set up, go to "settings" then "comments" then scroll down to "Show Word Verication on Comments?" and click the NO button. Then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Save." Then return to your blog.
  
  
• Click on "New Post" and answer the first assignment: Make a comment or ask a question about what you've read in Othello so far. Click "Publish Post."
  
  
• Once your first post is published, go to your address bar at the top of the screen and click once on it. It should all turn blue.

• Right click on it and copy it.
  
  
• Come back to this blog, go to comments, and right click to paste your URL. I'll take it from there.
