Things change in life. We all know that. We can be friends with people one year and the next year we don't like them any more.
Tonight, write about a time when your opinion about someone changed. Why did it change? What did you do about it? How did you feel? What did the other person do?

Changed Impression of Someone
I used to have a really good friend in 6th grade. We hung out all the time. Then slowly he started hanging with the wrong crowd. I couldn't believe how much he changed. Soon he was going to parties and drinking alcohol. I was not impressed at all. Now we barely ever talk and see each other. I wish he was still the same kid I remember.
You'd think I'd learn to spot 'em. My wife can, from a mile away.
But I don't listen. Talkin' 'bout people that groom you as a friend 'cause they want something. Some are downright obsequious. Others more subtle. I'm open and "easy" (my wife says). Seems I run into one of these characters every few years. Take Pardner, he's kind of old. Moves to Montana, talks like he knows horses and hunting, needs a little help getting to know the lay of the land. Helped him out, showed him some good hunting spots, drove him some places he couldn't get to in his 2WD pickup. Next thing you know, he's tellin' folks about these great hunting spots he's found. Gets them to take him hunting (here 5 years and he still hasn't bought a 4WD). It's a small town, turns out they were places I showed him. It got worse but 'nuff said.
